Website Tip #1

HTTPS

Ask yourself if your Website is just a Business Card or is it a Sales Lead Generation Tool?

July is just around the corner. Most people are thinking of planning holidays. What does any of this have to do with Business and Websites?

Our friends at Google are changing things up again. Websites that are not using HTTPS will be flagged INSECURE by Google’s Chrome internet browser.

What is HTTPS and why should I care you ask?

HTTP is an acronym for HyperText Transport Protocol – its how your browser connects to a website server. The ‘S’ in HTTPS stands for Secure. The Secure part encrypts data between your browser and a website server so that things like your name, address, phone number, credit card number – basically everything about you and your communication with the website is not exposed to anyone on the internet!

If you have a Website and its not HTTPS compliant, your sales leads and even your customers may be discouraged to use your site because Google’s Chrome will report your website as Not Secure (Proceed with caution) or even Dangerous (Avoid this site).

You need your website to display Secure (see our URL address above):
